Blue-Streaked Squirrelflight is an AU where Squirrelflight is turned into 2011 Red-Streaked Ashfur and she's HEARTBROKEN over a guy she never dated. Brambleclaw and Squirrelpaw learn to get along on the journey to the Sun-Drown place, Brambleclaw thinks Squirrelpaw will never mature but enjoys her company anyway. After Squirrelpaw saves Brambleclaw's life at the Sun-Drown place, she learns how possessive she's grown over her friend. This is similar to how Ashfur feels toward Squirrelflight in the original text, obsession. After the journey, Brambleclaw and Squirrelpaw finally return to the old territories. This is where he starts to get to know Ashfur, who is a ….”friend” to Brambleclaw's half-brother, Hawkfrost. Ashfur is a clanmate to Brambleclaw, but Brambleclaw was never interested in befriending him until learning that Ashfur and Hawkfrost became good friends while he was away. During the trip to the lake territories, Ashfur repeatedly shows interest in Brambleclaw’s stories about the journey to the sun down place, which flatters Brambleclaw. He starts to think highly of Ashfur for this. Squirrelpaw is still a bossy and sassy know-it-all and tries whenever she can to correct Brambleclaw when he exaggerates to make himself look good in front of Ashfur. Ashfur thinks it’s endearing how Brambleclaw white-lies to impress him. Cinderpelt lives in this AU! Because of this, Leafpool ABANDONS her sister in Thunderclan to be with her mate in Windclan. Squirrelflight's possessive nature only grows as a result. She begins to despise both her sister and Brambleclaw for BETRAYING HER SO HARSHLY!!! So when Leafpool realizes she's expecting forbidden kits, the former medicine cat KNOWS she can't leave them with her unstable sister. Instead she leaves them with the respected Thunderclan warrior Brambleclaw who she believes is a close friend to Squirrelflight. Brambleclaw swears to keep them safe and raises the kittens with his now-mate Ashfur, who believes the kits were rouges abandoned outside Clan territory. Because Brambleclaw chose someone over her and is happy with his life, Squirrelflight is DRIVEN INTO MADNESS!!! She swears to make the tom pay for his betrayal. On the day that Bramble and Ash become mates, Squirrelflight storms off toward the lake in a jealous rage. She bumps into the former Riverclan Medicine cat, Mothwing, who shows Squirrelflight the fox trap at the lake. Squirrelflight remembers how Mothwing first trained as a Warrior before finding her true passion in healing. If she recalls correctly, the former-medicine cat was forced to return to Warrior duties after Starclan refused to send a sign showing their approval… Ever since the clans heard the news that Mothwing was a Warrior once more, the golden she-cat had become more and more desperate for glory. Some say she even despises Starclan for refusing her. Either way, Squirrelflight accepts her offer and plots to trap Goldenflower, Brambleclaw’s mother and Thunderclan’s deputy, in the trap. After the plan fails and results in Mothwing’s death, Brambleclaw and Ashfur adopt their first litter (Leafpool’s kits), which makes Squirrelflight ANGERY!!! So, when a dangerous flood comes straight for Thunderclan territory, threatening to swallow Brambleclaw’s kits whole, Squirrelflight makes up her mind. Killing his kits is the only way to make him feel the same pain she caused him… She wonders desperately if this is the right choice, if she should turn tail and let Brambleclaw get to his kits, until Brambleclaw tries to save them by telling her this: the kits were Leafpool’s all along. He believes this will get Squirrelflight to move and save their lives but it only makes her more pleased with the big choice. Now Squirrelflight can get revenge on ALL THE CATS THAT HURT HER! DOUBLE WHAMMY! NOTE: This au DOES have AshBramble which I’m not fond of in general but ESPECIALLY not when it demonizes Squirrelflight. As you all know, I LOVE Hawkash… LOL.
