We Took $1,000 Scooters on a BIG Adventure - 8 States & 2,000 Miles

Here at Adventure Daily we love all things two wheels, and while I don't post a lot of road riding content anymore, 90% of my riding is done on my 1996 Honda Helix! They were sold in the U.S. from 1986-2007 and you can pick one up for around $1,000. It is by far the most comfortable riding experience with the foot forward seating position and the enclosed cockpit that protects you from the elements. With ample storage room and a 250cc engine capable of holding steady at 70mph, it makes for a great Adventure Bike. Recently our friends ‪@Notfounddddd‬ picked one up for themselves and we decided to plan a trip on the week off they had in September. The original plan was to head deep into the mountains of Tennessee but all of us had already experienced a lot of what the Smokeys had to offer so instead I suggested a trip up the East Coast. We only had one stop planned which was Virginia Beach and the rest was up in the air. I am a spur of the moment kind of guy and spontaneity fuels my life so with a few last second campfire decisions we decided to make our way all the way up the shoreline to the Big Apple of NYC. We camped off of our bikes this entire trip, and cooked a lot of our meals. Staying at KOA's and other campgrounds along the way. (There isn't a lot of free camping in the East unfortunately..) While we could have done this trip a lot cheaper, all in all Alexis and I spent a grand total of around $900 for this 8 day adventure. That includes everything from food to fuel, tolls, camping fees and some tourist activities along the way. I decided to make this into a 4 part series, in this video we will be starting out in Central Ohio and making our way down to Virginia to meet up with our Dutch folk and set off to VA Beach from there. 8 states and 2,000 miles, let the fun begin.
