On her journey through the Caribbean, documentary presenter Liz Bonnin visits a patch of rainforest in Costa Rica's Cordillera Central Mountains where a former farmer José Solís has been helping frogs to flourish for the past 15 years. He's the owner of Frog's Haven & Wildlife Refuge, and he will take Liz on a walk through the forest with the goal of finding some extraordinary neotropical anurans. Among them are poison dart frogs and red-eyed tree frogs. Across Costa Rica, the numbers of frogs are declining due to habitat loss, climate change and the deadly chytrid fungus, but José's work proves that even in a farming region, these animals can be helped. The last frog Liz will be shown is the glass frog, a well-known amphibian with translucent legs and bellies. A clip from Episode 2 of BBC's Liz Bonnin's Wild Caribbean.
