Shot during SIPschool's recent Southern Tour, Al and Dan demonstrate the "hot ball" technique of installing a electrical wire chase through an EPS core panel. Access holes are drilled above and below the location of the desired wire chase. Make sure to place material in the bottom hole to stop the ball once it has melted through the EPS. The one inch metal ball is heated to the desired temperature and dropped in, and the top hole is covered briefly to prevent flareups in the foam.
