Follow me:   / jalopestl​     / jalopestl​   Composed by: Daisuke Matsuoka, James Phillipsen* Picked up Bowser's Fury on a whim last weekend and was completely blown away by the OST - there's so much phenomenal music packed into such a small, dense package! This tune stood out to me immediately as one I knew I wanted to play. Was a good excuse to play a little straight-ahead jazz with a nice guitar-centric, stripped down arrangement. Couldn't resist throwing in a homage to Ellington/Strayhorn by adding a little "Take The A Train" to the middle, too, since it fits like a glove. Here's a great, vintage recording of Wes Montgomery that served as inspiration:    • Take The A Train   Was fun to try to make something in such a short time frame - it's a simple arrangement, but each part was pretty tough to get just right! I can think of areas to improve, but I'm pretty happy with this overall as a week-long project. *These are the composers according to Wikipedia, but I actually couldn't find any citation for that anywhere - not even in the game itself! Would love to know for certain who did all the music in this game, hopefully an OST is released at some point with proper credits.
