Carol of the Bells (Shchedryk) arr. George Winston - Josh Layne, harp

Shchedryk is a traditional Ukrainian song about a swallow welcoming in the new year (in the spring) and singing of the bounty that is to come. The Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovych wrote a famous arrangement of Shchedryk, to which later English words words were added and it became known in many countries as "Carol of the Bells". I'm playing an arrangement by George Winston, originally recorded on piano as part of his 1982 album "December".
