But I hope y'all enjoy- sorry for promising it before Youtube actually approved it (turns out I needed another 15 drafts). I'm sure you've all noticed by now that I'm a big fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender's sequel series...but unfortunately for me, not everyone feels the same way. In fact, many people online absolutely despise this series and spend much of their time finding faults in every single episode and with every single character. And people are valid in preferring Last Airbender- that's not the point of this video. My point is that I prefer the Legend of Korra, and I'm tired of pretending ATLA is "objectively better" than Korra as so many say. A lot of criticisms come down to preference rather than actual "poor writing", and I don't think either show is "better written" than the other. I loved Korra for its vast representation of political ideologies, the development of their main character through analysis of the Avatar's role, and the worldbuilding resulting from the industrial movement forward, as well as the time passed since ATLA. Overall, I loved nearly every single choice, even many that are commonly hated.
