What an experience. If you told me a year ago I would be running a marathon, I would have looked at you crazy. Running has always been one of my biggest insecurities. I’ve always been made fun of for being slow and out of shape. About a year ago I decided to change that and see what I was really capable of. I started small but just showed up every single day. I decided to take a trip to a city I’ve never been to before by myself to truly test myself. On Feb 15, 2026 I ran a 3:27 in my first ever marathon. First off, I want to say that the Austin community is incredible. Being around so many ambitious, TRULY like minded people who just “get it” is priceless. It’s a feeling that I’ll actually never forget. More than anything though, this race taught me a lot about myself. The marathon is a microcosm of life. Who are you when sh*t gets hard? How do you show up for yourself on a daily basis? The list goes on and on. Remember that you are capable of way more than you think you are.
