This is part 1 (of 6) of my latest successful challenge run of Fallout 4. This is a 100% completion no-hit survival permadeath speedrun that I've been attempting for roughly 2 years 7 months. 415 attempts! You can find me on Twitch most days. / vrexia PC Gamer wrote an article about this! You can check it out here: https://www.pcgamer.com/this-fallout-... Full run information below. Run goals: Complete the institute main quest, all DLCs, all available side quests. Collect all bobbleheads, magazines, nuka-cola recipes. Unlock all settlement workbenches. Recruit all companions (max affinity not required). Run rules: No VATS, power armor, armor, clothes with SPECIAL stats, legendary items, drugs, food/drink buffs, radiation removal. No perks that outright prevent damage (Unstoppables magazine is modified to have a 0% chance to trigger) No hits from enemies or damage taken from any source including glitches/bugs. Rule exceptions: Antibiotics may be used. Clothes with SPECIAL may be used if the only SPECIAL stat is endurance. Legendaries that are required for quests (ex. Silver Shroud). Unavoidable rad removal in Mass Fusion & Mechanist Lair (rads must be regained to the same level ASAP after being removed). Mods: FO4 unofficial patch is NOT allowed. Collision mesh may not be changed on any model. High FPS Physics Fix required if the game's internal frame limiter is disabled. The game must be clamped to 60 FPS except on loading and lockpicking screens. No gameplay altering mods may be used except as noted below. This includes but is not limited to: soundspace, lighting, changes to combat, items, NPC behaviour/spawns, etc. Cosmetic/QOL mods allowed. Gameplay altering mods required: No-Hit (increases all damage taken by the player from all sources by 90001%). Gameplay altering mods allowed: Ambient Music Overhaul (all combat music disabled option). INI changes: Blur effects are allowed to be disabled (this can cause clear water if DOF is disabled). PC mouse acceleration & X/Y fix allowed. Default FOV must be used. Internal frame limiter can be disabled if High FPS Physics Fix is used to clamp the game to 60FPS outside of loading screens. Console: Scrapall may be used at Sanctuary and Red Rocket. A batch file may be used in place of shelf building spam if correct math has been done for current INT/rested level. Console may be used to correct quest bugs if no other option works, ie. quest stage not advancing correctly, NPC missing, etc. Obviously using anything like TGM is not allowed. Other: Exiting the game and/or reloading may not be used to avoid damage/dangerous situations. Save scumming speech checks is not allowed. Using batch file to skip affinity grinding is allowed only to start companion quests. If a companion perk is wanted, full affinity grind is required. Glitches may not be exploited for any sort of gain. Commonly asked questions: Q: How is radiation damage handled? A: Radiation is not damage, it's a maximum health debuff which can kill you if it reduces max health to 0. Q: Isn't a no-hit run automatically permadeath? Isn't this redundant? A: No - examples of no-hit runs that allow restarting from a save exist. This run does not allow that, getting hit means a full game restart from character creation.
