Tires are one of the most important parts of your chair, proper tires can make or break a chair in my opinion. For instance, in my chair, having winter tires is a benefit for snow but having winter tires with smaller casters creates a problem getting over bumps, cracks and potholes. There are 3 different types of tires that I know of, Air filled, solid, and foam filled tires. All have their own benefits and disadvantages. I find air filled tires to have the smoothest ride, although they require the most maintenance. It is completely up to you what type of tire you prefer, and won't effect the maneuverability of your chair, it all comes down to comfort. If you have any recommendations, stories or other tips regarding tires, feel free to leave them down below, as I am always looking for new tips or more stories if you care to share. If you are really unsure, consult your occupational therapist as they will have a good idea of your ability level, and what might be good for you to try. In this situation don't be afraid to tell them if a specific configuration or tire does not work for you. My Last video • Life on Wheels: Seating Cushions and Backs...
