CRISTAL project - Navigate better, navigate safely, navigate sustainable.

The CRISTAL project (Climate-Resilient and Environmentally Sustainable Transport Infrastructure, with a focus on Inland Waterways) is an initiative funded by the Horizon Europe programme and promoted by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA). As part of the Horizon Europe research and innovation framework, CRISTAL aims to advance sustainable and climate-resilient transport infrastructure across Europe. Inland waterways play a key role in reducing the environmental impact of the transport sector, yet they are particularly vulnerable to climate change and extreme weather events.
