No doubt the Lord leads us and guides us, the Holy Spirit may even prompt us or the Lord will lay a burden on our heart, so I have no problem when someone says "I feel as though the Lord is telling me....." as long as it lines up with the Bible, fine, but when people claim direct revelation, that they literally hear God's voice or Jesus comes to visit them, that is another story. In this video we cover Kenneth Copeland and Priscilla Shirer, Copeland claims the Lord visited him in his bedroom and offered him cookies, Shirer (the daughter of Tony Evans) seems to call the Bible "hand me down revelation" as she says we should seek "new fresh revelation".
