👋 Hello everyone, hope you're all keeping well! Here’s the video to accompany my Yockenthwaite walk from Buckden—an unforgettable route through some of the most breathtaking parts of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. 🌄 The walk begins by following A Pennine Journey to Cray, where you’ll soak up stunning views of the surrounding countryside as you traverse the hillside. From Cray, you’ll head west past Scar House, continuing through even more beautiful landscapes, with peaceful woodland paths and quiet trails guiding you to the charming hamlet of Yockenthwaite. 🌾 After admiring Yockenthwaite’s iconic stone bridge, you’ll join the Dales Way, a scenic riverside route that follows the banks of the River Wharfe. This picturesque path offers wonderful views all the way to Hubberholme. Covering 7 miles, the circular walk features a moderate ascent, making it a great option for those who love rewarding views without the challenge of the highest peaks. 🌳 A must-visit for TV fans! Both Yockenthwaite and Hubberholme appear in All Creatures Great & Small. Yockenthwaite’s historic packhorse bridge and farm buildings have featured in the series, while St Michael and All Angels Church in Hubberholme was used as the setting for James Herriot and Helen Alderson’s wedding. 🌸 If you’re after a walk that blends stunning scenery, rich history, and a touch of TV nostalgia, head over to my website for the full route! The journey wraps up back in Buckden, where you can treat yourself to a well-earned drink at The Buck Inn. https://www.paulbeal.com/yockenthwait...
