TRANSCRIPTION BELOW: I mean, one of the myths of the War was that the military did not like the journalist. That is not true, or that is a very small partial truth. It is true that the military in Washington at the head of depending on did not like the journalist because we were negative and we were saying they were losing the World War was not being one. The command in Saigon did not like the journalist but the guys in the field who wanted the truth told, division advisors, core advisors, guys in the helicopter company liked the journalist because we would tell the truth when Saigon would be ordering them to say, we won that battle when they knew they had not fought that battle. So we had a lot of friends and a lot of sources and since nobody worked harder than Peter he was always about and around and he had a great instinct to be with American grunts. Peter's natural habitat would be to hang out with the guys who were fighting the war. So the truth is to guys going for a late drink at a bar. That is where you would find Peter even if he was not a reporter. He could easily have been on the other side and they knew that and they were natural with them and they knew how straight he was. I remember when they were embedding reporters for Iraq for the Iraq too, and everybody was upset with me because I was quoted as saying embedding is okay. I mean, it is only going to be the race to Baghdad; I have great belief in young American reporters talking to young American soldiers that whatever it is, they will tell the truth. Once the reporter proves to the soldier that he or she is willing to take the same, because you have to prove that you are serious, prove that you will take the risk and with that by day two or three, they will tell you the truth. I mean, when I first would go down to the delta, Japan's area, they did not tell me everything the first day, about the third or fourth time I went there, as they learned, 'A' I was serious and 'B', I would not blow their names in the New York Times story, but I would get into pessimism without mentioning their names. They would tell me everything.
