Replace belt, pinch roller, cleaning parts, new grease, replace gear part number RDG0034 + RXG0009. In my Opinion RS-B965 is better than Nakamichi Dragon in many way. Nakamichi Dragon It has too many cables, too many gear parts, Nakamichi It has a rubber wheel on it, design is old, display is old versus RS-B965 with a nice display who have 2 meter range who you can change, RS-B965 very clean inside, Nakamichi Dragon very hard to service, sound is the same with RS-B965, in my opinion who i have many decks in time and i sevice many of them, it matters a lot how the mechanism is built and RS-B965 is the winner. RS-B965 is superior when you record a tape. Of course both decks is good and both is on top 5. Yes Nakamichi was for years best deck on the planet, but world has evolved and Technics made RS-B965. For me only two decks cassette is BEST, Technics RS-B965 and Pioneer CT-95. Write in comments if you think other decks is the same or better than these models.
