The combined virtual choir of Troon Old Parish Church and Portland Parish Church sing metrical Psalm 121 - 'I to the hills will lift mine eyes' - to the tune 'French (Dundee)'. You can see hills on all four points of the compass from Troon, but the most majestic are the hills of Arran - the "Sleeping Warrior" - with Goat Fell (2,866ft) their highest peak. There's a saying in Troon: "If you can see Arran, it's going to rain. If you can't see Arran, it's already raining!" On these fine April days the view to Arran has been superb: rain will come, but God's protection will not diminish. This is our thirteenth combined virtual choir piece. The second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic is receding, and lockdown restrictions are easing. We long for the day we can sing together in person again. Stay safe, stay well, God bless.
