This will be an important fall for Brooklyn Center Community Schools. The district is asking voters to increase its operating levy at the ballot box this November. If approved, the funds will be used to retain teachers, maintain or reduce class sizes, and offer continued student services outside of the classroom like mental health care. “If we're able to meet those needs, that it ultimately makes learning more accessible for our young people,” said Superintendent Carly Baker.
