Rajesh Magar (RJ) learned to ride a bike at 10 years old, getting lost in the streets of outer Kathmandu. He rode his first technical trails on a bike he made himself with scraps, including; a scooter spring for suspension and piece of plumbing. His riding earned him attention on the mountain and eventually brought him the opportunity to compete and provide for his family. He has gone on to become consecutive four time national champion in Nepal. RJ’s story is one of boundless dreaming and unstoppable determination, forged from junkyard scraps and tested on the rugged trails of the mighty Himalaya. Since its premiere, "RJ Ripper" has been featured at film festivals across North America, including 5Point, Fresh Coast and most recently Banff International Film Festivals.
