Welcome to the Dr Joe Show - Cigar Reviews! This is the 4th and final part of Episode 13! After a couple of days off due to crappy weather and the like, we're back with another review - and to make up for lost time, we broke out a sizable smoke, the Gurkha Cellar Reserve "Prisoner!" (I honestly did not mean for that to happen when writing this...) Anyway, this 7" x 54 cigar is a blend of all Dominican tobacco, including 15 year aged filler and a nice, oily Criollo '98 wrapper. As big as it is, we'll have plenty of time to talk about Gurkha, review the cigar and even get into a thing or two about tobacco. Being that we have a Criollo '98 wrapper, we're going to start our discussion about types, strains, parts and primings of tobacco right at the root of it all (dammit I did it again!) Criollo happens to be the "mother seed." Even the mighty Corojo came from this plant and as such, it's a great place to start.
