The first job is to remove rotten timbers and then Pete does the birds mouth cut on timbers to replace rafters, the guys then cover the face with roofing felt and plywood before moving on to the decorative panels where they use southern yellow pine. Tony gives you plenty of top carpentry tips and tricks on fitting tongue and groove matchboard. He is using cedar V joint boarding.
