KINGS NORTON (Birmingham) A New Location In The Wet!!

Trying to avoid the rain at the moment would mean not going out at all which for me is not an option. So, for the first time in eight years I returned to Kings Norton in south west Birmingham for a change of location. Always been a busy junction/crossover between the west suburban line into New St and the avoiding line via Camp Hill to Landor St Jct to the east of the city but freight can be spasmodic. Today however was worth the trip with a reasonable mix of traffic....... I did miss the cement tanks which was early and caught me out while chatting also another working which got diverted via Stourbridge Jct and Snow Hill to Small Heath From Long Marston.. Duh!! Also of interest, the Camp Hill route (Nearest the camera) will soon have three new stations serving commuters with an half hour frequency between New St and Kings Norton where it will turn back between the existing suburban trains between New St and Redditch or Bromsgrove under the wires. A visit to these stations will no doubt be featured eventually. Also, for non local viewer info: When you see workings to/From Kings Norton Plant Dept & 'Rail Adventure' in my videos..... It occupies the former long lost carriage shed/sidings site just beyond the south end of the platform 4 that I was on.
