I challenged myself to camp by a beautiful mountain lake for 24 hours with ONE rule: NO FOOD. If I wanted to eat, I had to catch it myself from the lake. Could I catch enough fish for all my meals? Watch to find out! 🎣 THE CHALLENGE: → 24 hours solo camping by mountain lake → ZERO food packed - completely empty food bag → Must catch fish for every meal or go hungry → Forage wild edibles as sides → Cook everything over campfire → Survive on what nature provides 🐟 WHAT HAPPENED: → Setup camp with beautiful lake view → First fishing session - caught 3 trout! → Foraged wild onions, berries, and edible greens → Cooked fish three different ways → Lunch: Pan-fried trout with wild greens → Dinner: Whole grilled fish stuffed with herbs → Breakfast: Simple fire-cooked trout with coffee → Challenge COMPLETED successfully! 🔥 SKILLS SHOWN: → Lake fishing techniques (shore casting) → Catching multiple fish → Fish cleaning and filleting → Wild edible foraging (safe identification) → Three different campfire cooking methods → Camp setup by lakeside → Fire building and maintenance → Outdoor meal preparation 🍽️ MEALS I CAUGHT & COOKED: → 3 rainbow/brook trout (caught fresh) → Wild onions (foraged from shoreline) → Wild berries (identified and collected) → Edible greens (dandelion and others) → All cooked over open campfire 📍 Location: Mountain Lake (undisclosed for conservation) ⏱️ Duration: 24 hours 🎒 Food Brought: NONE (that's the challenge!) 🎣 Fish Caught: 3 trout 🎣 FISHING TIPS SHOWN: → Choosing the right lures for lake trout → Best casting spots (rocky points) → Reading water for fish location → Proper fish handling → Catch and cook ethics → Cleaning fish step-by-step 🌿 FORAGING SAFETY: ⚠️ I only forage plants I'm 100% certain are safe and edible. Never eat wild plants unless you have proper knowledge and training. When in doubt, DON'T eat it. I've studied wild edibles extensively and know the area's safe plants.
