Join us on our family hike to the Madonna del Corno and the Corno del Creili. This video shows you what to expect from this hike. We stayed for seven days in Iseo for the summer holiday and this hike was definity worth doing. Start in the morning during summer because otherwise it could be to hot in the afternoon. The descent was pretty rough, probably due to heavy weather earlier. ——————————————————————— Corno del Creili (Balota del Coren) is a rocky pinnacle on which stands the panoramic Croce di Iseo. Despite its low altitude (611 m) is one of the most popular balconies of Lake Iseo. The path goes up along the II cross street of Via Roma, where the CAI 243 and 245 paths are signposted. After a first paved stretch, the road becomes a dirt road and reaches in 40 minutes the Church of the Madonna del Corno (Provaglio d’Iseo, 427 m), whose terrace is a fabulous viewpoint on the Riserva Naturale delle Torbiere and on the Franciacorta wine region. Near the church take CAI path 290, which climbs steeply and unabated to the summit of Monte Cognolo (673 m), where there is a wooden table with benches. At this point, the descent begins. Returning on your own steps, you arrive at the crossroads with path 244, which you take, arriving at the Balota del Coren.
