Born into a time of genocide, Moses was saved by his mother’s courage and the compassion of Pharaoh’s daughter, who pulled him from the Nile and raised him as an Egyptian prince. Despite his royal status, Moses’ true identity remained tied to his Hebrew roots, leading him to kill a taskmaster in defense of a slave and flee into the desert of Midian as a fugitive. After forty years as a shepherd, God appeared to him in a burning bush, commissioning him to return to Egypt and challenge Pharaoh with the iconic demand: "Let my people go." This sparked a supernatural confrontation characterized by ten devastating plagues that crippled Egypt's gods and economy, culminating in the first Passover and the death of the firstborn. Pharaoh finally relented, but in a final act of defiance, pursued the Israelites to the Red Sea; there, God performed a final miracle by parting the waters for the Hebrews and drowning the Egyptian army, transforming Moses from a runaway prince into the legendary liberator of a new nation.
