The official 10th Anniversary Celebration of the founding of Nova Roma, the 10th birthday of Nova Roma, held on the Kalends of March, 2761 AUC, during the consulship of M. Moravius Piscinus Horatianus and T. Iulius Sabinus, organized by Pannonian (Hungarian) citizens of Nova Roma. The religious ceremony was dedicated to Concordia, Goddess of Divine Harmony. The "Concordialia", held on the Kalends of March, is the birthday festivity of Nova Roma, like the "Parilia" is the birthday of Roma Antiqua. Date: March 1, 2008 (Kal. Mar. M. Moravio Piscino et T. Iulio Sabino coss. / 2761 AUC) Location: Budapest, Hungary (Aquincum, Pannonia) Participants: Cn. Cornelius Lentulus, quaestor of Nova Roma, sacerdos Concordiae, legatus pro praetore Pannoniae who conducted the ritual; M. Caecilius Metellus, tribunus of the Legio XXI Rapax, president of the Hungarian "Gladius" reenactor organization, primary assistant (camillus) at the ritual holding the texts; L. Laelia Laeta Scaevola, provincial legata and secondary assistant during the ritual (popa), T. Popillia Laenas, provincial scriba, altar server (ministra). C. Bellius and Sp. Porcius Gemma , reenactor soldiers of the Legio XXI Rapax, served as a honour guard during the ritual. The rite was also attended by some Pannonian Nova Romans, who did not appear on scene. Description of the events: The ceremony of the Concordialia started with the reading the Declaration of Nova Roma aloud. That was followed by a speech of the local leader, Legatus Pro Praetore and Sacerdos Concordiae Cn. Lentulus who also read the message of Consul T. Iulius Sabinus to the Pannonian Nova Romans. The speech was followed by a chorus of young citizens reciting the Carmen Decennale (Rome To New Rome), the ode of the 10th Anniversary, written by P. Ullerius Stephanus Venator exclusively for the 10th Anniversary of Nova Roma. After the chorus, the sacrificial part of the ceremony started. Cn. Lentulus, Sacerdos Concordiae prayed for Nova Roma and conducted the sacrifice to Concordia. At the end of the video, some citizens of Nova Roma are portrayed, beginning with the consuls of the year, M. Moravius Piscinus and T. Iulius Sabinus.
