Trieste is a beautiful little city along the Istrian peninsula right up next to Slovenia and Croatia. We loved it for its amazing architecture, of which our favorite was probably the Miramare Castle which sat on the coastline and had a lovely garden area. There’s a ferry you can take to get to it, and we would definitely recommend it because it allows you to get an incredible view of the castle and its coastline from the water. In Trieste, we also marveled at how intertwined the city is with old ruins from the Roman empire. This really is an amazing city to visit if you’re looking to see some of Italy’s awesome architecture while not getting overrun with crowds! ____________________ If you're new here... Hi!
