The article analyzes the reliability and security of IT infrastructures, comparing major cloud providers (hyperscalers like AWS, Azure, GCP) with mid-sized providers and on-premises solutions. Despite occasional, highly publicized outages, data shows that hyperscalers actually have the lowest cumulative downtimes, measured by a calculated "BlastRadius-KPI". Furthermore, they offer significant security advantages, such as much faster updates and superior vulnerability management. The author concludes that avoiding hyperscalers due to potential outages is a "Nirvana Fallacy", as they ultimately represent the most secure and stable option for critical applications
