While I really like Tulum's beaches, it isn't a place I'd want to stay in for a couple months. Bacalar was great. Very laid back and so much to do there. It's called the lake of the 7 colors for a reason. Fantastic snorkelling and swimming experience. Isla Mujeres is an island located east of Cancun which you can reach by ferry. Playa Norte has the most beautiful beach on Isla Mujeres so a definite must if you value quality. Where are you located these days?
