On this episode of SidewinderTV we headed out to Sin City itself, Las Vegas. While we was there we got the chance to meet and chat with Joey Kokomo, a new Las Vegas resident and ambassador for the Weed for Warriors Project. As a Navy Veteran here he tells about his battle with PTSD, having his legs amputated, and dealing with prescription pills (opiates). It’s such an endearing story of man who’s tried so hard to find his place in this world and now he believes he’s come upon his calling. “The Weed for Warriors Project” is Joey’s saving grace. This organization is looking to lobby to have marijuana as an medical alternative in the VA healthcare instead of the prescription pills the VA gives out. Mr. Kokomo gives us insight into the struggles he’s faced fighting the VA system and his tough daily routine as a double amputee.
