Near Hiriyur in Karnataka’s Chitradurga district, a private sleeper bus travelling from Bengaluru to Shivamogga collided with a container lorry on National Highway 48 early Thursday, causing the coach to catch fire and killing at least 5 passengers, with several others injured and rushed to hospitals in Hiriyur and Chitradurga, police said.
