Just me messing around out of bounds in Shadow Moses. There's a couple of interesting things present, some of which could be just the 3D Modelers being faithful to MGS1 and others pointing to stuff going unused. The most interesting parts are labeled below: 1. 00:04:56 All of the side rooms in the Nuclear Warhead Storage Building B2 have collision in them. There's nothing to actually do in them but it is interesting that despite being unused they bothered to keep full collision for these rooms. 2. 00:07:34 Most have probably heard of the unused Storage Building B1 floor. The collision for the B1 elevator is still present as well as two triggers. One trigger is near where the Woman's bathroom would have been. It seems to want to play a flashback but just rewards the 1000 DP. There's a second trigger where the Commander's room would have been and this one actually does play a flashback with dialog from Psycho Mantis. 3. 00:11:28 In the Snowfield, you can see footprints leading into the tunnel (Vamp and Naomi's IIRC). The entirety of the tunnel actually does have collision, but doesn't actually lead anywhere. 4. 00:13:11 The Communication Towers connecting bridge actually has the correct door level shown for both doors. I'm not sure if you can actually see this with a scope anywhere from the bottom, but I don't think this actually suggests that you would be able to traverse the towers. 5. 00:28:52 The sewers in the Underground Base actually have collision at the bottom. As shown though, attempting to climb any of the ledges automatically triggers the death trigger. 6. 00:30:10 There's an unused path to the side of the sewers. No collision whatsoever though. No unused loading triggers either. 7. 00:32:07 Most of the Rex Hangar has collision. This suggests that they did intend you to at least explore a small section of the base. There's also an unused room at the back, no idea what it would have been for. This point, as well as points 5 and 6, were showcased by SolidSnake11 in this video: • Metal Gear Solid 4: Exploring Shadow Moses... 8. 00:36:20 There's rubble blocking it, but the door that leads to the escape route that Snake and Meryl/Otacon take in MGS1 is actually still present. 9. 00:42:30 Not actually an interesting out of bounds tidbit, but just fun to get in the way of Raiden and Vamp's battle.
