Real Self: Deepak Dugar, MD Transcription of Video Below: My name is Ruby Cruz and I'm here to get a rhinoplasty. I chose Dr. Dugar because I came across his Instagram and I loved his results. I'm choosing to scarless notes because this is my first rhinoplasty and they didn't want to have a scar. It took me about two years to finally decide I wanted to go for it. My nose has been bothering me since the age of ten. I'm not scared of anything I trust Dr. Dugar. Today we are working on a really pretty face and a really pretty nose she just needs subtle, minor refinements, no major change. So what we are going to for the frontal view is narrow the bones just the little bit and sculpt the tip. The tip needs to be refined; right now it is two individual domes so it looks very wide and broad. We're gonna bring it together through our scarless technique. What we're also gonna do for her side profile is shave down this bump just a little bit, give it a little softness to bridge without making it look too overdone or a scoop that looks really tacky. So her breathing was extremely compromised. She had a twist on the left and the right side so we were able to get the breathing completely straight by removing the pieces of the bone and cartilage that were severely crooked and causing her to not be able to breathe. So this is an experience piece of the bone that was actually sitting sideways rather than up and down, so we were able to remove that piece of bone in order to get her breathing better. So what we're doing is minimally shaving down the profile you don't want to take too much so we take little tiny slivers a piece of the cartilage and what we're doing is just refining the profile then we also take a little tiny piece of the chips on the bone tiniest little pieces just to fillet the profile to give it a soft elegance that we're looking for. So we're using a rasp which is a nail file, but a medical grade one, of course, to file down the bridge of the nose to make it subtle and softer, and to make all the edges smooth. So now we're going to narrow the bones, which are called osteotomies in order to give the nose a contoured appearance for the front of the nose. So these are small spreader grafts that we are going to put right in the valve area and this will help her breathe for the rest of her life. Here we go you ready Oh my god! Are you ready, here is your first peak. Oh my gosh I love it! This is gonna keep coming in it's really swollen. I don't have a bump anymore and it still looks like me I love it Thank you! My post-op experience went amazing there was no pain at all my bruising and swelling went away within a week of the surgery and Dr. Dugar and his staff were very kind constantly texting me to see how I felt after the surgery and I'm so in love with my new nose
