Tanner and Charity booked a 1 on 1 workshop to design a root over rock tree as a memento for themselves. Root over rock bonsai/penjing pieces are tough to come by because not every single tree is able to be trained as a root over rock. Watch as Robert takes Tanner and Charity step by step from selecting the tree all the way to the start of a multi-year training project. This is NOT the final product of the tree nor is this the final rock that will be used. We have only begun to train it as this will take several years to train the roots properly. Remember, the art of bonsai is not instant gratification. Beautiful pieces take years and even decades to accomplish. This is just day one of it's long journey.
