Voyager Playing Cards from Theory 11 Deck Review and GIVEAWAY

Contest Link: https://gleam.io/4WtAY/voyager-cards In this episode we review the latest playing cards deck release from Theory 11, the Voyager playing cards and give you a chance to win one for yourself. The Voyager comes in a premium style, matte charcoal cardstock tuck box. The embossed lettering and design elements are in white, beige and blue-green. The design is attractive and features more hand-drawn style linework than Theory 11’s typical offerings. The main elements of the design feature the image of a white solitary car driving on a desert road towards the sun as it sets behind a ridge of mountains. Above is an american bald Eagle engaged in a mid-air to-the-death-fight with a desert snake over an acoustic guitar. The imagery is encased within a border made from native american inspired shapes. The same elements reappear on the back design of the cards, here represented on the back of the tuck. Not the most accurate representation at that, we’ll soon see why. The framework radiates from the middle and create diamond shaped openings where once again are the eagle and snake battle within. The tuck flap is held in place by a cream colored tax-stamp inspired seal. The sides read voyager and the bottom has the traditional ad copy. The pips, indices and colors are standard. The Jokers are Identical. A drawing of the bald eagle perched on a mound of suitcases. A theory 11 bumper sticker on the guitar case. The aces are completely custom--which is a surprise. The ace of diamonds features two snakes ready to attack the eagle within the diamond frame. The ace of hearts omits the eagle in favor of the snake wrapped around the heart. The club shows us an eagle biting the snakes tail and the spade depicts the eagle alone, peeking out from behind the pip. If you expect the same art style and treatment on the court cards you’d be dead wrong however.
