Our No Nonsense Renovations from day one have always been a family business. It started with my wife and I and since the day both my kids were born we have been brining them onsite to our renovation houses. The goal was & still is to teach them exactly what we do, to understand how to renovate houses, how to flip houses, understand all aspects of real estate as a whole to build skills for their futures. As my kids are getting older, they have been getting more & more involved. While they started from the bottom with “sweeping the floor duty”, were promoted to “window duty” , they now come along on the design & finishing meetings when possible. In this video I talk about how I brought my youngest daughter with me to select the countertops 1 of our current renovation houses. She went through all the available materials in our budget & actually picked out the nicest material by far that was ideal for the home. After the material was installed I brought her back to the home so she could see the finished product. She loved it and I made sure she knew how good of a job she did, I saw her smile and feel a sense of accomplishment, which was well deserved. Being able to show my kids at this young age what they can achieve & how they can earn a feeling of accomplishment, a feeling of success is absolutely priceless. It is something I will continue to do for the rest of their lives. This was a true proud dad moment. If you have kids and are renovating houses, get them involved, you will be surprised how fast they can learn & without a doubt you will be giving them a skillset which can assist in their future.
