2011-2016 Honda CRZ Engine Oil and Oil Filter Change How to Change the Honda Engine oil and filter for the 2011-2016 Honda CR-Z Time: It took me about 1 hour If you have a maintenance minder A** or B** (i.e. B123), this is the engine oil and oil filter replacement DIY for it. I used the Mobil 1 0W20 Extended Performance Engine oil and the Honda OEM 15400-PLM-A02 Oil Filter Tools: Philips or flat head screw driver 17mm Socket wrench If you need a 1/2 rachet for the socket Oil filter wrench Jack/Jackstands/Ramps Funnel (this also works with the transmission if you put in the tube) Drain pan Materials: Honda OEM oil filter Part # 15400-PLM-A02/15400-PLM-A01 or equivalent 3.8 US quarts or 3.6Litre Genuine Honda Motor Oil 0W20 or equivalent steps: 1.) First we are going to jack up the car, the CRZ is a little bit hard to jack from the front because the front bumper is so low, so I followed the guide on the CR-Z Forum to jack up the car. The Front jack point is between the 2 front wheels, make sure you also setup the jackstands once you have the car jacked up. 2.) Pull the hood release lever 3.) lift up the hood , and support it with the hood prop rod. 4.) Under the car there is a plastic cover , we will need to remove 4 screws, you can use a philips or flathead screw driver, but here I used a drill to speed up the process. 5.) After those are removed, coming in from the front of the car, it should look like this. 6.) Remove the drainbolt with a 17mm wrench 7.) Let the old oil drain and position the drain pan to try and avoid spilling 8.) Use a clean paper towel or rag, wipe off any metal shavings and old oil from the drain bolt then replace the old washer with a new washer 9.) Replace the drain bolt and then tighten it with a 17mm wrench, also clean up the area with a rag or a paper towel. 10) Remove the old oil filter with an oil filter wrench. 11) Use a finger to lubricate around the gasket, then fill the new oil filter with oil 12.) Clean the oil filter area then screw on the new oil filter, do not overtighten. I have no oil leak issues with hand tighten oil filters over the years. 13.) Use a funnel, fill up with 3.8quarts or 3.6Litre of 0w20 oil,I'm using the Mobil 1 0w-20 Extended Performance for this oil change. 14)Remove the funnel and replace the oil filler cap 15.) Reinstall the main plastic cover 16.) Lower the car 17.) Check the oil level 2011 Honda Crz Oil Change 2012 Honda Crz Oil Change 2013 Honda Crz Oil Change 2014 Honda Crz Oil Change 2015 Honda Crz Oil Change 2016 Honda Crz Oil Change
