See? Told you I learnt my lesson. I used actual crash noises this time! Hell is a lot similar to that of Dante's Inferno. Same with Heaven being similar to Dante's Paradiso. The first layer is the titular Limbo, a sort of "false heaven". Much of the inspiration behind this does come from a game titled ULTRAKILL, but the difference lies in two things: 1: Limbo IS real... kinda. It's meant to take on a basic heavenly feel. But the further you go out, the more unstable it gets, whereas ULTRAKILL's Limbo is just fake heaven behind screens. 2: There are residents who live here. Two types. Souls who couldn't get into the real heaven, but never did anything wrong, and Limbo Elementals. What is a Limbo Elemental? Well... Page XX, Hell Elementals "Hell Elementals fall into two categories. The first of which is a category that defines the nine Elementals of Hell, and 'Concept' Elementals, which are Elementals that don't actually represent a physical element, like water or fire. As such, the limbo element can only persist in Elementals. Element energy in hell can be unstable. So much so, it directly affects the Elementals. Because of this, they are often viewed as lesser by the denizens of the inferno. But the deeper one goes, the more powerful -- and dangerous -- they can be." - Dr. K. Arctica Page XX, Limbo Elemental "First up, the Limbo Elemental. These ones are weird. They have the ability to make people see hallucinations not unlike schizophrenia. The tradeoff is that they, themselves, can also fall under this effect. The good thing is they're not affected by the instability of Limbo, itself, but they can lose their minds to their own ability if they are not careful." - Dr. K. Arctica
