In this video we look at several different drills you can practice to take your forehand on the rise more successfully. Striking the ball earlier is a great way to take time away from your opponent, put them out of their comfort zone and maintain an offensive position on the court. Although taking the ball as it rises carries a little more risk than usual, it is definitely something you should look to include in your game; especially if you are on overly defensive player. Applying this particular method of hitting the ball immediately puts you in an attacking position and allows you to control the point more often. Again, we recommend that your practice always has purpose behind it and adding these drills to your training routine, will guarantee to improve your game.
