Today, I talk way too much about the episode 'And All Through The House' from the anthology horror show 'Tales From The Crypt'. The episode was directed by Robert Zemeckis, which I was blown away by. This guy also directed 'The Polar Express', 'A Christmas Carol', 'Back To The Future', 'Cast Away', 'Forrest Gump' and many more iconic movies that most of us know of. Two of these are Christmas movies that mainly centre on the dreamless quality of Christmas and the joy it brings, which would explain why I was surprised to see the guy direct a Horrifying tale about a killer Santa. I did a lot of yapping about the history of the show at the start (which you can skip with my timestamps). But later on in the video, I broke down the whole lot of this Terrifying episode. I genuinely enjoyed this episode, mainly because it had the production quality of a movie. But technically, it is a short movie. 00:00 - Licensing issues explained 01:00 - Yapping warning 01:30 - Inside 'tales from the crypt' 02:52 - Why everyone wanted to work on this show 03:30 - The Cryptkeeper 03:48 - Chucky resemblance 04:03 - Was it for kids or adults? 04:35 - Influence on Goosebumps 04:55 - The Soundtrack 05:17 - Christmas Themes in the show 05:36 - Cryptkeepers Hilarious Christmas album 05:57 - Fan favourite Christmas episode 06:26 - Santa comparison to 1972 film 06:57 - The Polar Express and more 08:34 - 'And all through the house' Begins 15:15 - Final thoughts on the episode Copyright Disclaimer under Section 107 of the Copyright act 1976: Allowance is made for 'fair use' for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, or research.
