Dr. Ayesha Khaliq explains how Tubectomy Procedure is done Tubectomy, also named tubal sterilization, is a permanent method of controlling birth. It is a surgical method of blocking the fallopian tubes, therefore it prevents the egg freed by the ovary from reaching the uterus. This procedure will not affect your menstrual cycle. The tubectomy method can be done along with c section or after the normal delivery (i.e., after 16 hours and before a week) Maximum Tubectomy procedures cannot be reversed.
