So far I've done about 15 interviews, mostly in Japanese, to promote people in my community. While I have no intention of comparing my interviews, I would like to disclose the fact that my interview with Kuniyuki, CEO of UZUZ, is a personal one. I came across UZUZ, a recruitment firm tailored to support jobless new grads in Japan, sometime around late 2014-early 2015. As someone who experienced the failure of winning a job during Shukatsuki (Japan's recruitment period for new grads) and faced the dark period of hopeless job hunting after GFC, I couldn't help but to learn more about this company. I soon discovered that Kuniyuki also suffered a similar experience during his early 20s, and his mentor who supported him drove him to build his recruitment company. I did not know Kuniyuki in person at the time and was intimidated to message him directly, but I took the courage to do so around early October. He was generous enough to spare 3 hours with me, and introduced me to his bright and cheerful colleagues--most of them still likely in their 20s--at his office in Shinjuku.
