Puryear is a Share America Foundation Scholar who focuses on performing music in the style of the original Carter Family. On "Maple on the Hill," Randall Franks sings and plays fiddle while Logan plays guitar on a song from the 1800s popularized again in the 1900s by the Carter Family.
