Public Art Archive Presentation for the International Sculpture Center Conference, October 2023

This workshop will guide attendees through the suite of public art resources available to artists and arts organizations through PAA. Featuring a hands-on cataloging session for artists and arts administrators, the program will provide support for digitizing artworks and collection data and offer recommendations for optimizing artwork submissions to maximize their visibility and searchability. Attendees will be provided templates and guides they can use to manage their portfolios/collections so that their artwork data is well organized for internal uses, submissions to PAA, and applications for future public art opportunities. Throughout the workshop, the PAA team will highlight the benefits of leveraging the platform to enhance visibility of public art collections and artists’ portfolios, better understand patterns and trends in the field (especially for those looking to break into the public art world), and act as a dynamic engagement tool to assist in making public art more public.
