This video I tested an AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT graphics card to see if it could do Ray Tracing. AMD GPUs are typically shunned upon for their performance in ray tracing applications but is this true? So I asked the question of can the cheapest AMD GPU do ray tracing. Although the 6600 XT isn’t the cheapest, it is the cheapest card that could POTENTIALLY run ray tracing at playable frame rates. So be an AMD fanboy and don’t buy a 3060 from Nvidia for obscene pricing. Or don't. The 6600 XT costs around $480 AUD or $300 USD, a great deal for 1080p and 1440p gaming.
