Seen here is Colorado's one and only Tiller Ladder - Greeley Fire Department Ladder 1 - responding code 3 (lights and siren) along with Greeley Engine 4 to an ALS medical call. Ladder One is a 2009 Pierce Velocity 100' TDA Engine Four is a 2016 Spartan Gladiator As far as I know and as the crew of station 1 told me, L1 is the only Tiller Ladder in the State of Colorado. The Greeley Fire Department (former Union Colony Fire Rescue Authority) decided to go "back to the roots" and bought a tiller to replace a common stick ladder. It seems like there were more tractor-drawn aerials in the old days all over Colorado.
