Dr. Chloe Webb, a Policy Associate with Public Policy | Southampton, shares her work synthesising policy evidence for the National Priority Programme for Healthy Ageing with ARC Wessex. Her synthesis supported the ARC team in joining the national rollout of initiatives to improve dementia care in care homes and reduce falls among older people, and she was invited to present her findings at a national meeting. Dr. Ali Sahin describes his pathway from an internship with the Trustworthy Autonomous Systems Hub, organising a stakeholder meeting on AI regulation in the UK; to participating in a joint University of Southampton and Southampton City Council programme exploring how an international port city can achieve net zero. He went on to serve as a Policy Associate on the FEVER project, which aims to harness renewable energy to power electric vehicles.
