As HARTING Technology Group celebrates its 80th anniversary, the company is marking this milestone with a bold transformation—relocating its global headquarters to Zurich, Switzerland. This strategic move represents HARTING’s commitment to becoming a global player in the connector and cable solutions industry. Philip Harting, CEO of HARTING Technology Group, emphasised the importance of this shift during an exclusive conversation with Hari Shanker, Managing Editor of Machine Maker, at the HARTING Innovation Hub, Coppenrath Innovation Centre (CIC) in Osnabrück. The Zurich headquarters will act as a central hub, attracting international talent and aligning HARTING’s operations with its vision for global expansion. Reflecting on the company’s journey over the past eight decades, Philip Harting highlighted how HARTING has grown from a family-owned business into a global leader. With a strong legacy built by previous generations, including his father and mother, Philip and his sister now lead the company with a mission to sustain family values while driving international growth. “We are not only shareholders; we are actively shaping the company,” said Philip Harting. The decision to relocate to Zurich comes alongside significant leadership changes to support global ambitions. The adoption of English as the official language for the board reflects HARTING’s commitment to becoming a globally connected organisation. Zurich’s strategic location makes it easier for HARTING to recruit international talent. At the same time, proximity to Studer Cables production plant will facilitate the development of best-in-class connector and cable solutions for critical sectors like energy, automotive, and infrastructure. India remains a core focus for HARTING’s expansion plans. Philip Harting shared his admiration for India’s dynamic market, highlighting HARTING’s investments in sales, manufacturing, R&D, and software engineering facilities in Chennai and Bangalore. The company’s contributions to Indian rail transportation, with its Jumper cables used in India’s proudly manufactured Vandebharat train coaches, reflect HARTING’s long-standing commitment to local markets. Looking ahead, Philip Harting reaffirmed plans for continued investment in India, emphasising local products for local markets, further strengthening HARTING’s global footprint built on trust, tradition, and innovation. #HARTING80Years #ZurichHeadquarters #GlobalExpansion #ConnectorSolutions #CableSolutions #InnovationHub #SmartManufacturing #SustainableGrowth #HARTINGIndia #DigitalTransformation ________________________________________ Connect with us on LinkedIn: 👈 / themachinemaker Follow us on Instagram: 🙌 / themachinemakers Like us on Facebook: 👍 / machinemakerindia Follow us on Twitter: 🕊 / themachinemaker Visit our website: 🤝 www.themachinemaker.com __________________________________________
