Since it's introduction until around the early 80s, they had this beautiful Burst on the front, back, sides and on the neck like all the other burst finishes. However, in the mid-80s, that all changed and they switched them all to a natural back+sides which is still nice looking - but I just love these 'original' ones. They have a very retro vibe to them. This finish isn't necessarily 'rare,' but it is hard to find because people who have these customs in this finish, don't sell them unless they really have to. This leads to this finish usually bringing in a nice premium since the market is usually bare of this finish. You could argue this is also a 'vintage sunburst' finish as there were a few variations on "tobacco." Some have these dark out lines whereas some are more 'brown' in color.
