This is Ep 1 of Max Gain. This one is a quick peek at some recent military freefall training. Why freefall for Ep 1? It’s because skydiving is pretty good at exposing weak equipment…. especially when that equipment is tactical radios falling at terminal velocity. Truthfully, the only thing that’s constant when falling out the sky is change. Distances between radios, angles, interference—everything shifts constantly. It’s physics at full speed, and every movement, every change in proximity, affects the data rates between every device on the network. Most networks struggle here because they weren’t designed for constant change. If your FaceTime call gets worse when you step outside of your house, imagine what happens at 120 mph with an entire battlefield worth of devices trying to share and receive data at the same time. Wave Relay assumes nothing stays fixed. Whether it’s a foot patrol at a walking speed or a stick of operators falling to earth, the network treats change as the only certainty. Every node is always evaluating the environment and picking the best path when its presented. So, movement is not a disruption. It’s not a forced change to the entire network and it's not a failover. It’s just another moment in a network that’s already designed to live in a permanent state of change.
