This ominous, surreal, somewhat nightmarish scene from Disney's (1951) Alice in Wonderland felt appropriate for this time of year... and matches the mood of the past week. I take solace in the concept of a character who morphs, from a confusing caterpillar with a fragile ego and hot temper, to a helpful butterfly. I also chose this piece because I wanted to do the whole thing in under an hour, and it's a simple piece, with a limited palette. I was able to finish it in about 40 minutes, so the video is barely sped up. Enjoy! Come paint with me!!!
